Eastern Serenity offers Buddha statues from highly-skilled artisans that create unique, exquisitely detailed sculptures in both bronze and wood. Our Thai bronze Buddha statues are images which encompass the many forms the Buddha takes on throughout the art and culture of different areas of Buddhist influence in Asia. The designs echo famous museum pieces from several historical epochs and possess lasting appeal. Our selection includes a wide range of classic Asian figurines from various Buddhist schools and can be featured in almost any setting. Most designs are available in a variety of sizes and finishes. Buddha statues are a common part of everyday life in Thailand, not only in a Wat (or temple), but in the public sphere and at home. Most Thais have a small shrine set up in the home which will be comprised of at least one small Buddha statue in addition to candles, pictures of their King, and other touchstones that are part of their communal, cohesive culture. As pictured below, there are actually Buddha statues that correspond to specific days of the week, and most Thais will either possess the Buddha statue that corresponds to the day of the week of their birth, or "make merit" and honor that specific Buddha statue at their local Wat (temple). These comforting, soothing figures add serenity and calm to Western living environments and decor and are a beautiful, peaceful accent to any home.
