Modern Thai Decor. The Buddha footprint is a highly revered symbol in Buddhism and beautifully rendred in traditional Thai art. A large
wheel fills the center of the foot and the surrounding grid contains some of the 108 auspicious
symbols. Mythical creatures, small pavilions representing the heavens, and royal symbols populate

Gold Gilt Wood Thai acacia wood (mai cham cha) is dried thoroughly, sealed for durability and a base color added. Traditional designs with some modern flourishes are then painted on, using a custom paint which contains traces of the gold used for "making merit", the ritual of placing gold leaf on Buddha statues in the local Wat (or temple).
